summer. summer. summer.

anyone catch the high school musical reference? anyway its getting warmer in toronto and this weekend was one of the first it felt like summer largely due to the insanely warm weather and the awesome bbq had at my friends. it was also her birthday on friday - complete side note but it meant we all got to go and get our nails done ahhh they're so pretty though they are slowly being ruined by the chlorine :(

today was also a half day as our GY`s were graduating this afternoon... its going to be so weird not seeing them around so me and some friends went to lunch and i lazed at the pool - first burn of the summer has arrived! it`s what i get for not wearing sunscreen. Oh well... it'll turn in to a tan :P

one thing about me everyone should know: i live for music... it was probably my dads influence - i was brought up on a constant rotation of led zepplin, pink floyd, cream, eric clapton and elton john. today my ipod and youtube playlists remain a mix of classic rock, 90s pop, alternative, disney channel music, blues and a good dollop of top 20. so here i present to all of you who care and those who happen to have just found yourselves here some of my current music obsessions...

movie musings

I recently saw the trailer for the new movie Moonrise Kingdom and besides looking like a good move, I absolutely fell in love with the costumes! they've inspired my current moment of 1960s fashion and little kids clothing. I love the mary janes, pastels, peter pan collars and thin knee high socks. to me there's nothing better then that hint of innocence mixed in with some trusty Doc Martins and silver jewellery. thats another thing you will very quickly learn, my doc martens go with everything no matter the occasion. and so peter pan collars and prim little dresses get added to my master spring wish list.

springsessions - the stacks

I have a lot of springsessions [spring obsessions] and I guess this one is more of a summersession but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of piles of bracelets and oversize watches. Right now I am seriously coveting a Michael Kors oversize rose gold watch, but a little bit out of the budget for now. To me there's nothing that says warm weather quite like it. I think it stems from my years at summer camp where we all tried to have more than the next person... Whatever it is, its definitely one of my favourite accessory statements. They just look so effortlessly polished and so cool...

before i get futher... me. i'm lindsay i'm 15 and am from toronto. i love fashion and have started this blog to comment on fashion around me. my favorite designers are Miu Miu, Proenza Schouler, Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Burrburry Prorsum and Chanel. my favorite models change a lot as you will most likely see with this blog as do my fashion inspirations but as of this moment in time my favorite models are Karlie Kloss, Frida Gustavson, Hanna Sorheim, Jac and Freja beha Erichsen. my personal style reflects what's around me as well as a few people or things... currently i am in love with alexa chung, miu miu spring/summer 2012, the fall colors and my mothers closet.
