music time.

one thing about me everyone should know: i live for music... it was probably my dads influence - i was brought up on a constant rotation of led zepplin, pink floyd, cream, eric clapton and elton john. today my ipod and youtube playlists remain a mix of classic rock, 90s pop, alternative, disney channel music, blues and a good dollop of top 20. so here i present to all of you who care and those who happen to have just found yourselves here some of my current music obsessions...

movie musings

I recently saw the trailer for the new movie Moonrise Kingdom and besides looking like a good move, I absolutely fell in love with the costumes! they've inspired my current moment of 1960s fashion and little kids clothing. I love the mary janes, pastels, peter pan collars and thin knee high socks. to me there's nothing better then that hint of innocence mixed in with some trusty Doc Martins and silver jewellery. thats another thing you will very quickly learn, my doc martens go with everything no matter the occasion. and so peter pan collars and prim little dresses get added to my master spring wish list.

springsessions - the stacks

I have a lot of springsessions [spring obsessions] and I guess this one is more of a summersession but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of piles of bracelets and oversize watches. Right now I am seriously coveting a Michael Kors oversize rose gold watch, but a little bit out of the budget for now. To me there's nothing that says warm weather quite like it. I think it stems from my years at summer camp where we all tried to have more than the next person... Whatever it is, its definitely one of my favourite accessory statements. They just look so effortlessly polished and so cool...
